193 farmers received microcredits from AccessBank, allocated through AKIA

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15Trend: AccessBank continues to provide microcredits to farmers. As a result of AccessBank’s partnership with the Agency for Agrocrediting and Development (AKİA), 193 entrepreneurs received microloans provided by the state to the agricultural sector. In the first 5 months of 2021, through the state line, the bank provided loans to farmers in the amount of 1 million 996 thousand manat. Most of the requests for loans were received from entrepreneurs from Lankaran, Barda, Mingachevir, Ganja and Sheki. Entrepreneurs mainly applied for loans for the development of animal husbandry.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated April 8, 2020, a new stage of financing the agricultural sector began. Since that time, microcredits have been provided to farmers in the amount of up to 15,000 manats – for the creation and expansion of horticultural, agricultural and livestock farms.
