5 delegations discuss the importance of the “Riyadh Anti-Corruption” initiative

The Kingdom’s permanent delegation to the United Nations, in cooperation with the Italian, Indonesian and Colombian delegations, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime organized, yesterday, an event entitled “Leadership in Combating Corruption and the Group of Twenty: Its Objectives and Achievements,” on the sidelines of the special session of the United Nations General Assembly dedicated to combating corruption, which Held over two days in New York.

The event addressed the importance of launching the Riyadh Initiative, which frames an agenda emanating from the 20 countries for the whole world to combat corruption and implement integrity and transparency by establishing a global network for exchanging information between anti-corruption agencies around the world.

The event was attended by the Italian Coordinator of International Anti-Corruption Activities, Alfredo Durante Mangoni, the Vice President of the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority, Dr. Nasser Aba Al-Khail, and the Head of the Legal Committee of the Kingdom’s Permanent Delegation to the United Nations, Adviser Nidaa Abu Ali.
