Eight people said they saw or heard the launch of a rocket on the day of the crash of Malaysian Airlines’ Boeing 777 flight MH17 that crashed on July 17, 2014 in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. This was announced on Tuesday at a hearing in the Schiphol court complex by Judge Helein Kerstens-Fockens.
“Out of 20 witnesses, 12 stated that they saw the trail of a rocket launch,” she said. “Some of them, or rather eight people, said that they saw or heard the launch of a rocket and associated it with the trail. [от запуска] in the air”.
“As for the launch site, a number of witnesses pointed to the direction south of Snezhnoye, some towards Savur-mogila, and some towards the direction of the village of Pervomaysky, which is located between Snezhnoye and Savur-mogila,” added Kerstens-Fokens … Of the eight witnesses, according to the judge, three stated that they were near the site of the missile launch from a field near the village of Pervomaysky.
