The “Security Media Cell” of the Iraqi government’s presidency announced that three missiles fell on the “Balad” air base, north of Baghdad, on Wednesday.
The cell said in a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency that “three missiles fell on Balad air base this evening, Wednesday, without causing human or material losses.”
The base, which includes American contractors, was hit about a month ago by four Katyusha rockets, without causing any casualties.
On April 18, several missiles targeted the base, wounding two Iraqi security forces. Days later, three Katyusha rockets targeted Baghdad airport, one of which fell near the “Victoria” base.
