Al-Jamahiriya channel reported that the Libyan authorities released Imran Al-Ferjani, a military leader in the era of late President Muammar Gaddafi, after 10 years of detention.
The channel said on its website that Major General Omran Muhammad Omran Al-Ferjani, commander of the Libyan Coast Guard and Ports Authority, “is one of the leaders of the Jamahiriya regime, who was imprisoned in the wake of the wave of unjust sentences after February 2011.”
The channel said that many praised the step of releasing Al-Ferjani, and demanded the release of all the leaders of the mass regime in prison, after the years proved that February was and still is a conspiracy against the homeland.
The channel described the release of the Libyan leader as “an appreciable step in the framework of working on comprehensive national reconciliation.”
