Iran has returned to recording large numbers of Corona virus deaths and infections, as the Iranian Ministry of Health announced (Tuesday) that 179 deaths and 8,846 new cases of Corona virus were recorded during the past 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the ministry announced that 120 deaths and 4,907 new infections had been recorded the previous day, according to the German news agency.
Yesterday, the Ministry stated that the total number of Corona injuries in the country rose to about two million and 980 thousand cases.
And public relations in the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education indicated that the total deaths caused by infection with the Corona virus in the Islamic Republic had risen to 81,362.
It stated that 3,620 of the injured are in critical condition, and that the number of people recovered exceeded two million and 578 thousand cases, according to what was reported by the Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Yesterday, a spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said that some cities are witnessing a spread of the Indian and South African strains of the Corona virus, and warned that failure to adhere to health protocols threatens “certainly the return of difficult days.”
