Atlanta, United States (CNN) — US Vice President Kamala Harris has returned to Joint Base Andrews, after her plane encountered a “technical problem,” according to Harris’ principal spokeswoman and senior adviser Simon Sanders.
“It’s a technical issue,” the spokeswoman added. “There are no major safety concerns.”
“There was an unusual noise that came from the landing gear when we took off but the landing at Joint Base Andrews was completely normal,” reports from onboard Air Force Two said.
Harris was on her way to Guatemala City.
