Abdullah bin Zayed meets the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met in Nicosia with HE Nikos Christodoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Cyprus, and ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, including economic and trade, to achieve their common interests and benefit their peoples.

His Highness and the Cypriot Foreign Minister reviewed a number of issues of common concern, including the situation in the eastern Mediterranean, and they also discussed developments on the regional and international arenas. His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the distinguished bilateral relations between the UAE and Cyprus, and his keenness to develop and strengthen prospects for joint cooperation in all fields in the interest of the two friendly countries and peoples.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the role of Expo 2020 Dubai, organized by the UAE, with the participation of about 192 countries, in enhancing cooperation, and exploring promising opportunities for international partnerships, which contribute to supporting global efforts to stimulate sustainable global economic growth.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised Cyprus’ participation in this prominent global event, which contributes to strengthening the areas of bilateral cooperation and partnership between the two countries in various sectors.
