After Odebrecht changed its name and removed members of the founding family, among other actions taken in recent years to dissociate itself from the image of corruption at Lava Jato, companies in the group, which today is called Novonor, want to achieve ISO 37001, the international seal of anti-bribery management. OEC, the holding arm of the holding, says that it has just received the certification. The projects of Ocyan, which was Odebrecht Oil and Gas, and Novonor are also in progress.
The opening of this new chapter in business reconstruction gained traction in November, when the external monitoring that the DoJ (Department of Justice of the United States) had been carrying out within the company with auditors since 2017 ended.
According to the OEC, the certification is valid for three years and also includes subsidiaries such as OECI, Tenenge, CBPO and Oenger. Among the measures adopted to recover from the scandals since 2016, the company lists the incorporation of independent directors, integrity advisory committees, ethics committee, adoption of compliance and audit functions.
