After Cruzeiro’s last game of the year, Rafael Sóbis ends his career

The end has come for Rafael Sóbis. The game between Cruzeiro and Náutico, valid for the 38th and final round of the 2021 Brasileirão Series B, marked the end of the 36-year-old forward, then shirt 10 of Raposa.

The player started the match on the bench and entered 21 minutes into the second stage, when Vanderlei Luxemburgo served Giovanni for his entry.

Sóbis had already finished his career a little earlier, in the match between Cruzeiro and Brusque, on the last 10th. However, the player decided to go back on his decision to go all the way with the Minas Gerais team in Serie B.

In the 2021 season, his last, Sóbis played 41 games, scored three goals and gave four assists.

For Cruzeiro, the forward built a beautiful history, taking part in the conquest of the bi-championship of the 2017 and 2018 Copa do Brasil. However, it was for Internacional that he raised the biggest titles of his career.

In Rio Grande do Sul, Sóbis won the Libertadores in 2006 and 2010. In the latter, he actively participated, scoring one of the goals in the final. The player also had a good spell at Fluminense, where he won the title of the 2012 Brasileirão.
