In his first race after the world title, the Brazilian Alison dos Santos shone and won a gold medal in the Silesia stage, of the Diamond League, in the 400 meters hurdles category. The athlete flew and won the race with relative ease, recording the time of 47.80, the record of the race.

In lane 6, Piu, as he is known, ran with ease and accelerated in the final stretch to close the race with 47.80, slightly above his personal record, achieved in the World Cup final (46.29). American Khallifah Rosser came in second, with 48.30 and Frenchman Wilfried Happio, with 48.74, completed the podium.
Alison is undefeated in the competition so far. In addition to the triumph in Poland, the Brazilian won four other stages of the tournament: Doha, Eugene, Oslo and Stockholm.
At just 22 years old, Piu has established himself in the elite of world athletics. In 2021, he also won the bronze medal in the 400 meters hurdles at the Tokyo Olympics.
