Almost 300 people with weapons tried to leave Kazakhstan, but were detained at the border. This was announced by the Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Turgumbayev.
Firearms, stolen property, including cell phones and large sums of money, both in local and foreign currencies, were seized from the detainees.
Turgumbayev also said that the situation in all regions of Kazakhstan has improved. The siloviki liberated all previously seized buildings of akimats (local administrations – editor’s note).
“The work of communal facilities and life support systems is being restored. The counter-terrorist operation continues to restore law and order in the country,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TASS quotes.
