The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran Askhat Orazbay noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of trade turnover between Tehran and Nur-Sultan notwithstanding the COVID-19 pandemic, Trend reports citing IRNA.
On Wednesday, June 9, Askhat Orazbay took part in the ceremony on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held in the city of Gorgan, Golestan province.
Speaking at the ceremony, he expressed hope for the further development of trade and economic relations between Iran and Kazakhstan, reducing the risks associated with the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19, and lifting tough sanctions against Iran.
According to him, despite the harsh economic sanctions against Tehran, Kazakhstan has always supported Iran, ignoring this pressure, and is proud of the development of its relations with this country.
In addition, the ambassador pointed to the opening of the Aktau – Gorgan – Aktau flight from March 2021, stating that the flight will open up new opportunities for economic and tourist cooperation between Kazakhstan and Iran.
