The ark with the relics of St. Prince Alexander Nevsky will stay in the Volgograd region from 12 to 19 June, the diocese’s press service reports.
The relic will be delivered on June 12 at 20:00 from Rostov-on-Don and placed in the Kazan Cathedral.
For worshiping believers, it will be available on the following days from 08:00 to 19:00. At this time, those who wish will be able to pray in front of the relics. Every day at the ark, the clergy will perform prayers.
On the evening of June 19, the shrine will be sent to Astrakhan.
On June 12, four long processions of the cross with particles of the relics of the holy noble prince across Russia and Belarus will start at once. Volgograd is included in the southern route.
On Saturday, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the day of memory of the holy blessed prince Alexander Nevsky.
