The United Nations Mission of Support in Libya (UNSMIL) has announced its intention to hold a meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (FLPD) in late June and early July in Switzerland. This was announced on Sunday by the Libyan news portal Efrigatenews.
According to him, the UN mission called on the FLPD participants “to hold a face-to-face meeting in Switzerland from June 28 to July 1”. Representatives of the mission noted that the meeting “will be an opportunity to develop proposals that will contribute to the holding of national elections in Libya, especially with regard to the constitutional platform for the upcoming vote.”
Before the meeting in Switzerland, the UN plans to organize a meeting of the FLPD advisory committee to develop “recommendations and practical mechanisms for making decisions at the forum.” The advisory committee is expected to meet on June 24-26 in Tunisia.
