BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11Trend: On June 11, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the non-resident ambassador of Somalia, Jama Abdullahi Mohammed, accredited in the country.
As Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke with satisfaction about the existing friendly relations and cooperation with Somalia, stressing that this cooperation is also successfully continuing on international platforms. Somalia’s support for Azerbaijan’s position based on international law was noted with satisfaction.
The Minister informed the opposite side in detail about the latest events in the region, the situation in our liberated territories, as well as about the large-scale destruction caused by Armenia on these lands, the work carried out there on restoration and reconstruction, mine threats.
Referring to the close historical and cultural ties between the two countries, Ambassador Jama Abdullahi Mohammedi noted that his country has always supported Azerbaijan’s fair position based on international law. The ambassador congratulated the people of Azerbaijan and the state on the great victory.
The parties also exchanged views on some issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation, mutual visits.
