US President Joe Biden began his first trip abroad on Wednesday, culminating in talks on June 16 in Geneva with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The plane of the head of the White House took off from an air base near Washington and headed for Great Britain. It is expected to land at Mildenhall airbase, located about 100 km from London, Trend reports citing TASS.
Before meeting in Switzerland, Biden will take part in the G7, NATO, US-EU summits. If the main task of the consultations with the allies is to revive the relations that have deteriorated under the last American administration, then following the results of the conversation between the leaders of Russia and the United States, the White House expects to build more predictable and stable bilateral relations.
As Biden noted, the topic of possible interaction with Russia will be discussed during all the events of the European tour.
