The Brazilian women’s volleyball team won another victory for the South American and beat Chile this Friday by 3 sets to 0 (25/11, 25/19 and 25/14). With the result, the team achieved its third consecutive triumph in the competition and secured a place in the 2022 World Cup, which will be played in the Netherlands and Poland.
The Brazilian standout was the striker Ana Cristina, who scored 15 points and was the highest scorer. Opposite Lorenne, with 14, and central Mayany, with 11, also performed well against the Chileans.
After the game, the opposite Rosamaria talked about the result and the recovery from her left foot injury. “It was our third win in three games and I’m very happy with the group’s performance. Today, all the players had the opportunity to play and that’s very important. I was happy to have played a little. The return of my injury has been very cautious for me to be able to come back 100% and I’m feeling better and better. Now it’s time to think about our decisive match on Sunday against Colombia,” he said.
Brazil will have a day off in this Saturday’s round and end its participation in the South American Championship on Sunday, at 10 pm, against Colombia.
