The Ministry of Justice and Public Security launched, on Wednesday (9), Operation Light in Childhood 8. The operation aims to identify perpetrators of crimes of sexual abuse and exploitation against children and adolescents committed on the internet.
Police officers serve 176 search and seizure warrants in Brazil and five other countries: Argentina, United States, Paraguay, Panama and Ecuador.
In Brazil, the operation has the participation of the Civil Police from 18 states: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Pará, Espírito Santo, Rondônia, Mato Grosso, Paraná, Ceará, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do North, Alagoas, Piauí, Bahia, Maranhão, Rio Grande do Sul and Amazonas, in addition to law enforcement agents from the countries involved.
