Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced on Saturday the country’s “lockdown” for the Christmas period, in a decision aimed at containing the accelerating spread of the mutant Omicron of the Corona virus.
“I stand here tonight with sadness,” Ruti said in a televised press conference. To sum it up in one sentence, a closure will be imposed in the Netherlands from tomorrow.”
