Engineer Claudio Bernardes and physician Esper Kallás stopped publishing their columns in Folha, after being appointed to the transition team of the elected governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans).
The norm follows the newspaper’s Editorial Manual, which prohibits collaborators from exercising high-ranking executive functions in public administration.
Likewise, the columns of Alexandre Schneider, Cida Bento, Claudia Costin, Nabil Bonduki, Nelson Barbosa and Silvio Almeida, who are part of the transition team of the president-elect, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), have already been interrupted.
