The Russian “Sputnik Lite” vaccine against the Corona virus

The Russian Fund for Direct Investments reported that the Ministry of Health of the Republic of the Congo registered the single-dose “Sputnik Lite” vaccine for use as a vaccination against the Corona virus in its territory.

The Director-General of the Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, said: “Thanks to the registration of the “Sputnik Lite” vaccine, the Congo will increase the list of its available anti-Corona vaccines. The “Sputnik V” vaccine has previously been registered in this country. We welcome the decision of the Ministry of Health to approve the use of the “Sputnik Lite” vaccine. “Which will give the Republic of the Congo access to another safe, effective and affordable Russian vaccine.”
The “Sputnik Lite” vaccine is the first component of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against Corona, and its effectiveness is 79.4%, starting from the 28th day of the day it was received.

Last March, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of the Congo had agreed to use the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Corona virus on its territory.
