Debbie Collier shared pics of black eye after ‘fall’

The murdered Georgia mom whose naked body was found in a ravine shared gruesome selfies on social media revealing a severely bruised eye – years before she disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

“Look what I did to myself when I face planted on the concrete sidewalk,” Debbie Collier, 59, captioned the Facebook post in December 2020, Fox News reported.

“I do not have any eye makeup on the right eye,” added Collier, who was discovered by authorities Sept. 11 with burn marks on her abdomen a day after her daughter and husband had reported her missing.

The images from 2020 show her badly bruised right eye swollen shut and scrape marks above and below.

She was found dead roughly 60 miles from her Athens home after wiring $2,385 to her daughter, Amanda Bearden, and leaving a chilling note on Sept. 10.

“They are not going to let me go, love you there is a key to the house in the blue flower pot by the door,” wrote Collier, who left her home in a rented SUV because her car was being repaired, taking only her credit card and driver’s license with her.

Collier may have been involved in “screaming and fighting” at her home the night before she went missing, according to a neighbor.

Police have declared her death a homicide, and say they have executed search warrants and interviewed relevant people, but are staying tight-lipped on further details.

No suspects have been named in the mysterious case.

An Athens-Clarke County police spokesperson told Fox News Digital that he had no record of any domestic calls involving Collier or her husband.

Dr. Emma Lew, a former Florida forensic pathologist, told the news outlet that the injury seen on Facebook “would be consistent with a fall,” adding that the damage was caused by something “hard and relatively flat, at least the portion of the object that came into contact with her.”

The daughter’s boyfriend told The Post on Thursday that police have confiscated the family’s phones.

“They’ve interrogated all of us. The people who are closest to her are kind of looked at as suspects right now,” he said, requesting that his name not be used. “It’s weird,” I feel like [the Sheriff’s Department] may have some leads but they won’t tell us anything.”

Collier, a realtor, lived at her home with her husband, Steven Collier, who told cops he last encountered his wife at 9 p.m. the night before her disappearance and didn’t see her leave the following morning because they sleep in separate beds due to his snoring.

Bearden, who became hysterical as she watched her mother’s remains being carried up the ravine, told police that her mother had no history of mental illness or suicidal thoughts.
