The Sudanese Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Al-Hadi Mohamed Ibrahim, said that international institutions will write off $40 billion of Sudan’s debts at the end of June.
At the African Investment Conference currently being held in Sharm El-Sheikh, the minister added that a similar value would be dropped from the drawing rights.
He added that debts have accumulated on Sudan in recent years.
The minister explained that investing in Sudan before the noble youth revolution that overthrew the corrupt government was unsustainable and achieved prosperity for the people.
