The “Global Fire Power” classification for the year 2021 placed the United States at the forefront of the countries with the most powerful armies in the world, and no Arab country appeared in the first ten ranks according to the classification.
The Global Fire Power site relied on its classification on 50 factors that contributed to the advancement or delay of armies, including military and material capacity, in addition to logistical and geographical factors.
The classification is done according to an index that reflects the increase in the strength of the army, the lower the number, meaning that the best armies will have a strength index of 0.000.
The ten most powerful countries in terms of their armies appeared as follows:
First place: the United States, with a strength index of 0.0718
Second: Russia, with a strength index of 0.0791
Third: China, with a strength index of 0.0854
Fourth: India, with a strength index of 0.1207
Fifth: Japan, with a strength index of 0.1599
Sixth: South Korea, with a strength index of 0.1612
Seventh: France, with a strength index of 0.1681
Eighth: the United Kingdom, with a strength index of 0.1997
Ninth: Brazil, with a strength index of 0.2026
Tenth: Pakistan, with a strength index of 0.2073
The ranking showed Turkey ranked 11th, Egypt ranked 13th, followed by Iran ranked 14th.
And Israel ranked 20th in the rating.
Some Arab countries appeared in the rankings behind the ten most powerful armies in the world, according to the following order:
Egypt achieved the first place in the Arab world in terms of the strength of its army, and appeared in the 13th place in the world ranking, retreating from its previous classification.
The ranking Saudi Arabia is the second most powerful Arab country militarily, and number 17 in the world.
Algeria appeared in the 27th global ranking, and the third most powerful Arab country.
The UAE army was ranked the fourth most powerful Arab army, ranking 36 in the world.
As for Morocco, it appears in fifth place in the Arab world, and 53 in the world.
And Iraq appeared in sixth place in the Arab world, and 57 in the world.
And the seventh place in the Arab world went to the Syrian army, which came 65th in the world.
Libya ranked eighth in the Arab world, and 70 in the world.
Kuwait ranked ninth in the Arab world, and 71 in the world.
Oman was followed by ranked tenth in the Arab world, and 72 in the world.
Tunisia was followed by, ranked 11 in the Arab world, and 73 in the world.
Jordan ranked 12th in the Arab world, and 74th in the world.
The classification considered Sudan the army to be number 13 in the Arab world, and 77 in the world.
Yemen came in the 14th Arab ranking, and 78th internationally.
As for Qatar, it ranked 15 in the Arab world, and 82 globally.
Bahrain ranked 16th among Arabs, and 103rd in the world.
And Lebanon ranked 17th among Arabs, and 116 globally.
