Within the framework of the efforts made by the UAE, based on its humanitarian and global pioneering role in combating the “Covid-19” pandemic, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, in coordination and cooperation with the Syrian Red Crescent Society, sent a medical aid shipment that includes “Covid-19” vaccines to support efforts to provide vaccine doses. For the brotherly Syrian people, it targets frontline workers in the medical field, people with difficult humanitarian conditions, the elderly, people with chronic diseases, and people in places of displacement.
The Emirates Red Crescent Authority, in coordination with the Syrian Red Crescent Society, provided food aid to provide the necessary food needs for the Syrian people before the blessed month of Ramadan.
The provision of vaccines aims to contribute to the efforts made to enhance the capabilities of the Syrian health sector, as it is expected that providing doses of “Covid-19” vaccines will contribute to besieging the Corona virus and reducing its negative effects.
It should be noted that the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, in cooperation with the Syrian Red Crescent Society, previously sent medical aid amounting to 97.2 tons to Syria, and included medical supplies, personal protection tools and virus detection devices, which had a great role in enhancing the capabilities of medical staff and workers in the line The first defense in the face of the pandemic.
