At least five new schools are to appear in the Samara region by the end of 2023. The issue was discussed at a meeting in the regional government, which was chaired by the vice-governor – Prime Minister Viktor Kudryashov.
The construction is supposed to be on a concession basis. State funding will be 35%, and the rest of the funds will be allocated by the investor, writes NIA Samara.
During the meeting, the issues of allocation of land plots for construction and the development of design estimates were raised. The participants also discussed the terms and conditions for formalizing private concession initiatives.
“New schools are first of all necessary to eliminate the second shift in existing educational institutions and in new residential neighborhoods,” Kudryashov emphasized.
The list of schools will be determined after consultation with developers implementing large housing projects in the Samara region.
Earlier it was reported that a special program for the modernization of school catering facilities would be developed in the Samara region. Now the Ministry of Education is analyzing the equipment of institutions with equipment, after which the cost of implementing the program will be calculated.
