According to forecasters, on January 4 and 5, the air temperature in the capital will be 2-3 degrees below normal. At night: -10 … -15 degrees, during the day: -5 … -10. On Tuesday, there is a possibility of light snow, said Yevgeny Tishkovets, a leading employee of the Phobos weather center.
A sharp deterioration in weather is expected on Wednesday. An active cyclone from the Atlantic will bring heavy rainfall. Drops up to 25 percent of the monthly rate. Wind gusts will reach hurricane values - 15-20 meters per second. Atmospheric pressure “will collapse to the very bottom of the baric abyss” – up to 725 millimeters of mercury. This is 20 units below the norm.
On Friday, frosts in the capital will intensify: in the daytime the air will warm up to a maximum of -7 degrees. On Saturday morning, the thermometers will drop to -19 degrees. In the afternoon of January 8, no higher than minus eight.
