Former Prime Minister of Slovakia: Russia is the pillar of international law and peace

Former Prime Minister of Slovakia and now Chairman of the Society of the Slovak-Russian Commonwealth Jan Czarnogursky stated during his speech at the Moscow Conference on International Security that Russia is the pillar of international law and peace.

“We see how anti-Russian propaganda is increasing every year in Western countries. Despite this, Russia has a growing number of friends. Many people, including in Slovakia, believe that it is Russia that is the backbone of international law and peace,” he said.

According to him, despite the fact that Slovakia is part of the EU and NATO, there are no US or North Atlantic Alliance bases in the country because of the many years of protests by the population.

“For example, when asked which side you will take in the event of a conflict between the United States and Russia, 20% said that the side of the Russian Federation and only 6% – the side of the United States. More than 40% of respondents two years ago in another poll declared their support for the president’s policy When asked regularly, every two years, the question “From which state do you expect the greatest support in the event of an international crisis?”
