G7 Summit kicks off in Cornwall, England

The Group of Seven (G7) summit is opening today in the English town of Carbis Bay on the Atlantic coast of the Cornwall peninsula, Trend reports.

The leaders of the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, USA, France and Japan, as well as the leaders of the European Union, plan to discuss within three days the restoration of the world after the coronavirus pandemic and the strengthening of the global health system, the fight against climate change, the international situation and other topics. The head of the European Council Charles Michel, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the leaders of Australia, the Republic of Korea, India and South Africa and the heads of several international organizations will also take part in the meetings.

In the informal association of economically developed countries of the world this year, the UK is chairing.
