Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner says he does not understand or respect those that choose not to get vaccinated as he outlines the Top End’s roadmap.
Mr Gunner on Wednesday outlined a roadmap as to what life would look like when the territory achieved 80 per cent of its population vaccinated.
Unvaccinated travellers from red and orange zones will be banned from entering the Top End, however if vaccinated, people can quarantine at home.
“If we can reach our targets in the next 50 days then from early November we can take the next steps,” Mr Gunner said.
“I know I am supposed to say I respect people’s choices and reasons for not getting vaccinated – I don’t.
“I don’t understand, I don’t respect it. You don’t get to choose to burden our health system because you refuse to follow preventative health measures.”
