Man gets 22 years in prison
In Arkhangelsk, the verdict was announced in the case of the attempted murder of six people. According to the press service of the regional investigation department of the ICR, on October 4, 2005, a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic attempted to kill a businessman and ex-deputy of the Arkhangelsk Regional Assembly of Deputies, who is currently convicted and serving a sentence of imprisonment for organizing a criminal community, firing from a jet an infantry flamethrower at the window of an office located in one of the houses on Dachnaya Street in Arkhangelsk, where, in addition to the victim, there were five more people who, a few minutes before the shot, left the office, which saved their lives. The office was completely destroyed.
The man did not deny his involvement in the crime. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison, and in conjunction with the previous punishment – 22 years in prison in a penal colony with a strict regime.
