In March 2021, the number of foreign visitors to Georgia decreased by 73.4 percent

In March 2021, 55,907 international visits were made to Georgia, which is 73.4 percent less than in the same period last year, according to a report published by the National Tourism Administration, Trend reports citing 1TV.

According to the report, 40,759 international visitors visited Georgia by land, 14,181 by air, 770 by sea and 197 by rail.

As for the top 15 countries with the largest number of visits to Georgia in March 2021, according to the National Tourism Administration, these are: Turkey – 20,237 visitors, a decrease of 50.8 percent compared to last year; Georgia (non-residents) – 5,760 visitors, a decrease compared to last year – 62.7 percent; Armenia – 5,656 visitors, a decrease in comparison with last year – 82.8 percent; Russia – 4,703 visitors, a decrease compared to last year – 85.7 percent; Azerbaijan – 4226 visitors, a decrease in comparison with last year -90.3 percent; Ukraine – 3115 visitors, a decrease compared to last year -60.1%; Uzbekistan – 1,873 visitors, an increase compared to last year by 73.7 percent; Kazakhstan – 1,016 visitors, a decrease compared to last year -43.9 percent; Iran – 841 visitors, an increase of 109.2 percent over last year; Belarus – 759 visitors, a decrease compared to last year -55.0 percent; Tajikistan – 531 visitors, an increase compared to last year + 26.7 percent; Israel – 530 visitors, down 85.4 percent from last year; Germany – 409 visitors, a decrease compared to last year -75.5%; USA – 404 visitors, a decrease from last year of -63.8 percent; France – 322 visitors, down 58.7 percent from last year.
