Over the past day, 321 people have died, 6774 patients have fully recovered.
Earlier, on May 4, Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko said that the situation with COVID-19 in Russia remains tense. According to him, the decision to ease the restrictions must be made taking into account the situation in the regions of the country.
A large-scale vaccination campaign is currently underway in Russia.
As the head of the Ministry of Health noted, vaccination is proceeding as planned, and collective immunity in 60% of the country’s adult population will form in September. In early May, Murashko stressed that for the formation of herd immunity, it is necessary that about 69.8 million Russians get vaccinated.
