Acting party Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s “Civil Contract” won early parliamentary elections on June 20, final data from the Central Election Commission show.
“The Civil Contract party won 53.91% of the votes,” said the head of the CEC Tigran Mukuchyan at a meeting of the commission on Sunday.
According to him, the bloc of ex-president of Armenia Robert Kocharian “Armenia” won 21.9% of the votes. Formed around the Republican Party of the ex-President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the Fatherland party of the former head of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan, the “I Have Honor” bloc gained 5.22%.
The remaining 22 political forces did not overcome the required entry barrier. The entry barrier for parties is 5%, for blocks – 7%.
