India advocates investigation of human rights violations in Ukraine

India believes that all cases of violation of human rights and international law in Ukraine during the ongoing conflict should be objectively investigated. The statement was presented on Friday at an interactive dialogue with the Commission of Inquiry into the situation of human rights in Ukraine, held in Geneva in the framework of the 51st session of the UN Human Rights Council, Permanent Representative of India Indra Pandei.

“We believe that there can be no justification for violating human rights or international law, even in conflict situations. Any such act of violation must be investigated in an objective and independent manner,” the Permanent Mission of India to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva said in a statement posted on Twitter.
