BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15Trend: Iran has sent an export cargo to Turkmenistan, Trend reports on Tuesday with reference to the Turkmenportal information portal.
Freight cars from Iran arrived at the Etrek railway station in Turkmenistan through the Incheburun border crossing located on the Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan railway route.
According to the information, the number of railway cars for transporting goods to Turkmenistan will increase to 30 from the current 20.
It should be noted that earlier Iran and Turkmenistan closed their borders due to the coronavirus pandemic, but then the parties during a video conference considered the issues of activating transport transportation.
Earlier it was reported that Turkmenistan and Iran resumed trade through the border terminal of the cities of the same name Sarakhs.
Also, a new road bridge was opened earlier, connecting two parts of the city of Sarakhs on both sides of the Turkmen-Iranian border. This was the second joint border development project related to the construction of road bridges between the two countries, aimed at expanding and developing road transport.
