The Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro determined the attachment of the copyright of the book “Bye, Querida: O Diário do Impeachment”, authored by the ex-mayor Eduardo Cunha. The work, which details details about the impeachment of ex-president Dilma Rousseff, will be released on Saturday (17).
The decision for the attachment is of the judge Virginia Lúcia Lima da Silva, of the 20th Civil Court.
According to the court’s publication, the pledged amounts will be used to pay attorneys’ fees related to a lawsuit filed by Cunha against Infoglobo. The action dealt with a report that cited a bill that wanted to institute Heterosexual Pride Day, authored by the former deputy.
“As she lost the lawsuit and no money was found in her bank account to be pledged, the judge ordered the pledge of copyright on the book,” the court said in a statement.
Cunha, who is under house arrest, promises “unprecedented and detailed details” about the battle of former President Michel Temer (MDB) to overthrow Dilma.
