As Prince Charles is next in line to the throne, Camilla will assume the position of Princess Consort instead of Queen. The royal couple agreed the title would be changed to Princess Consort when they wed in 2005.
A statement released by Clarence House this year quashed any potential confusion around the subject.
It said: “The intention is for the Duchess to be known as Princess Consort when the Prince accedes to the throne.
“This was announced at the time of the marriage and there has been absolutely no change at all.”
Kate, differently, will become Queen Consort.
She is showing “encouraging” signs she will be a very good at the role too, taken on when William is King.
Royal commentator Joe Little said Kate’s work for the Firm over the past decade shows she has become a key working royal.
Mr Little, the managing editor of Majesty magazine, told Express.co.uk about the Duchess’ development since marrying into the Royal Family.
He said: “In the early days after the wedding she was quite low profile.
