The number of pink salmon allowed for catch by amateur fishermen in Kolyma will increase. The draft new rules for fishing, which are being developed by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, take into account the relevant proposals of the regional authorities. This was reported by “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the government of the Magadan region.
The service for organizing recreational fishing is paid, and the users of the sites independently determine the cost of the voucher. But according to the new rules, every resident of Magadan and a guest of the city will be able to freely and free of charge get three specimens of this type of salmon in the places established by the fishing rules. The list of these places will also be expanded.
The Kolyma government presented its initiatives at the beginning of last year. They were considered and approved by the Far Eastern Scientific and Industrial Council, after which the proposals were included in the draft order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
“It is necessary to speed up work to improve the tourist attractiveness of the Magadan region and amateur fishing is one of the main directions in this work,” says the region’s governor Sergei Nosov.
