The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia considers the idea of ​​the possibility of adopting a four-day working week as irrelevant. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov in an interview with Izvestia.

“Taking into account the flexible forms of employment that we have now provided for in the Labor Code, the need to switch to a four-day working week without fail is currently irrelevant,” he said.

According to him, at the current stage it is quite enough to provide the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule or remotely – for certain categories.
