The statements by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy about a possible war with Russia do not merit attention. This opinion was expressed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during the XXV Forum of Contemporary Journalism “All Russia-2021”.
“I believe that these comments do not even deserve any attention. We are accustomed to these sweeping statements, imbued with Russophobia through and through,” the Foreign Minister noted. In Zelensky’s speeches, he also hears “KVN echoes”. “We see perfectly well how he fulfills what he promised … I see here still echoes of KVN. Maybe in this way we need to win the hearts of our voters? But it’s sad if there is no other way,” Lavrov said.
The head of the Russian foreign policy department also noted that Moscow is ready to build more normal relations with Kiev. “We constantly emphasize our readiness to resume normal relations with Ukraine, because the Ukrainian people are very close and fraternal to us,” Lavrov said.
