In an interview with the newspaper The Parisian, the executive director of Paris Saint-Germain, Leonardo, criticized the call of Lionel Messi and Leandro Paredes, called by Argentina for the next games of the South American Qualifiers.
Both are injured and, according to the Parisian club, would not be able to travel to another continent at this time.
“We are not in agreement in letting go to the national team two players who, in our view, are neither in physical condition nor in the rehabilitation phase,” said Leonardo.
Despite the call-up, the Argentines must not play against Uruguay, on November 13th. Lionel Scaloni’s idea is that they are available for the duel against Brazil, on the 16th.
