London: Russia lost a third of its ground forces in the Ukrainian war

“Despite initial progress on a small scale, Russia has failed to make significant gains on the ground over the past month while incurring consistently high levels of attrition.
According to the latest analysis from Britain’s Ministry of Defense, those delays are “almost certain” to be exacerbated by the loss of key enablers such as bridging equipment, intelligence and surveillance and reconnaissance drones.
“Russian bridging equipment was scarce throughout the conflict, which slowed down and restricted offensive maneuvering,” he added, according to the update, which noted that Russian UAVs are essential for tactical awareness and artillery guidance, but were vulnerable to the capabilities of Ukrainian anti-aircraft defenses.
