The Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) announced the termination of any contacts with Ukraine in the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control (JCCC) until Kiev releases the officer captured on the demarcation line.
As they say in the LPR, the officer was seized by the Ukrainian security forces while working at the checkpoint “Pervomaisk – Zolote”, which were coordinated with the OSCE. In Kiev, in turn, they believe that the detained LPR representative under the guise of monitoring compliance with the ceasefire regime carried out intelligence activities.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) claims that the detainee could have been involved in the creation of illegal armed groups. As you know, the armed formations of the LPR and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in Ukraine are considered illegal and terrorist.
