Macron told what Georgia needs to obtain EU candidate status

Georgia will receive the status of a candidate member of the European Union after answering questions that the European Commission considers a priority. This was stated on Thursday by French President Emmanuel Macron at a briefing on the results of the first day of the EU summit in Brussels.

“We have decided that the candidate status will be granted to Georgia after it answers the priority questions that the European Commission has put before it,” Macron said.
