Nancy Pelosi’s husband was formally charged with DUI on Thursday.
Paul Pelosi, 82, was at fault for a crash May 28 in Napa County, Calif., police said in an arrest report obtained by local news station KRON.
Pelosi was charged with DUI causing injury and driving with a blood-alcohol content above 0.08. His blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.082 at the scene of the crash, according to police. The cops also said he failed field sobriety tests.

When a California Highway Patrol officer asked for Pelosi’s license, he also handed the cop an “11-99 Foundation” membership card, police said. The 11-99 Foundation is a fund that has provided $42 million to California Highway Patrol families.
“His eyes appeared red/watery, he was unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred, and he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath,” the officer wrote in the arrest report.
Nancy Pelosi was not in California at the time; she was in Rhode Island to give a commencement speech.
“The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast,” Drew Hammill, Nancy Pelosi’s spokesperson, said at the time.
