NASA will send the first fully commercial crew to the ISS

NASA will send the first fully commercial crew to the ISS in February. The launch of the Axiom Space spacecraft is scheduled for the 21st.

According to the plan, the crew of four will have to spend 8 days at the station, working together with the astronauts.

Axiom Space was selected by NASA two years ago to create a commercial segment on the International Space Station. Parts of this segment are expected to begin shipping in 2024.

The first module will house living space for four astronauts and space for research equipment and experiments. Then two more modules are attached. Upon termination of ISS service, the commercial segment will undock from the station and become an independent fully commercial station in space. Moscow speaking
