Overwhelming, Bayern thrash Frankfurt in Bundesliga debut

Julian Nagelsmann’s team was dominant during the 90 minutes. In a frantic start, Kimmich and Pavard scored the first, with less than 10 minutes of play. Mané, Musiala (twice) and Gnabry completed the scoring.

Thus, the team from Munich assumes the provisional leadership of the tournament, as it is the only one to have played in the round, so far. Frankfurt, on the other hand, is at the bottom of the table at this first moment.

Then, Bayern host Wolfsburg, for the second round of the competition. The match takes place next Sunday at 12:30 pm (Brasília time).

The Bavarians did not take long to open the scoring and scored after five minutes, in a free kick by Kimmich. Then it was the turn of Frenchman Pavard to take advantage of the rebound in the area and send it to the back of the goal.

Bayern still scored two balls on the post before scoring the third. At 29, Mané received a throw in the small area and, with a header, scored his own. A few minutes later, in a good collective plot, Muller invaded the small area and rolled to Musiala, who just played for the empty goal.

In the final stretch of the first half, Mané stole the ball at the entrance of the area and left it with Gnabry. With class, the German dug in front of the goalkeeper and scored the fifth.

Second time

With the victory already decreed, Bayern saved their energies in the second stage and only controlled the result. At 19, however, Frankfurt scored with Kolo Muani, who had Neuer’s fault and scored the goal of honor for the home team.

In the last minutes, there was still time for young Musiala to score his second in the game. The midfielder won a duel in the area and, even surrounded by opposing players, touched the goalkeeper’s exit and put final numbers to the match.
