Peskov called false allegations of plans to mobilize up to 1 million people

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov denied publications about plans to call up to 1 million Russians as part of partial mobilization.

“This is a lie,” he told TASS.

On the eve of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin announced partial mobilization and signed a corresponding decree. There are ten points in total, while the seventh has not been officially published. In the document itself, it is listed as “for official use.”

Publication “Novaya Gazeta. Europe” claims that the closed seventh paragraph of the decree refers to the possibility of conscripting up to 1 million people. Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu earlier said that during the partial mobilization announced in the country, 300,000 people would be called up for service.
